Launching Country Med at The Crown

Friday the 14th May was a very special afternoon and evening at The Crown. The new chef Baz was showing off the new Country Med menu with samples for everyone there. Thankfully as social distancing rules were still running and we had to hold the event outside the weather gods were kind and a lovely mild and sunny early evening was had by all.

The goodies flowed out of the kitchen and were appreciated by everyone there. From mini taster burgers through to the lemon and beer battered fish with Italian seasoned hand cut chips the food was I have to say outstanding. Other items enjoyed by all were Bruschetta, homemade Focaccia bread and Arancini balls.


Along with the mouth watering samples there were also a selection of taster wines, reds and whites that the pub will have available to make your meal complete. I have to say the reds were superb and I could have very easily snuck away to a corner with a bottle of the Primitivio!


Although we didn't have the printed menu back from the printers we had a couple of samples to show around and the feedback was positive on the look and the content. Below you will see samples of the menu pages that will be running from the 19th May when the kitchen opens for service.
